1986. Countach. Or 959.
Or maybe a Supra if I have to maintain the thing.

My first car was an E24! nice choice, I’m determined to own another at some point. every trip was an adventure.

I was initially looking at F40's and Countache’s but I think this will work just fine
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:11 |

YES. I’d do anything for a drift machine built out of one of these.

1985
Deal with it:
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:12 |

It’s so good looking. And if I’m getting it for free I can at least afford the maintenance for a little while.

1984 - If I can have a prototype, then it’s the one existing Lambo Countach LP Turbo S. If I can’t have a prototype then it’s a normal, boring Countach - in coked out white on white, obviously.

I thought this would be easy, but it turns out that I missed the F40 by one year. I think it actually worked in my favor though. I love the 288 GTO

Hard to decide, they are all hopeless money pits:
Kind of have a soft spot for these dramatic things, too:
I just-predate official 928 sales, or I would have chosen that.

![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:16 |

That’s awesome! As soon as I have a garage I’ll be shopping for one.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:17 |

I’ve “multiple” personalities, so I choose this these...
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:18 |
|
yep! definitely worked in your favor. I’ll take one too, in painted in “notred” please
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:18 |
|
The coupe is a Camargue, an odd Pininfarina design made from the mid 70s through the mid 80s. Frightfully expensive when new, sold in small numbers.
A normal 116 wouldn’t be too bad, but that’s a 6.9, an entirely new world of complexity, I think.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:18 |

Oh easy.

1975 was a bad year for cars but they did make the Caprice Convertible so that
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:22 |

good choice. 16 cylinders should help you balance out all of those evil priuses
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:23 |

what a time to be born
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:23 |

you would make me choose between a De Tomaso Longchamp
A Masearti Bora
A Ferrari 400
and a Pantera GTS?
(I guess the fact that there are two De Tomasos on this list says something...)
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:23 |

So I’m going to cheat a little and use the production year instead of the model year.
1989:

drive throughs and ATMS would be hilarious.

Can I trade it for a 918
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:24 |

1990, that was easy.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:24 |

Man, I forgot these were made in ‘86.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:24 |

I hate this game.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:24 |

countach... turbo?? what? I know you said it’s a concept but that’s nuts
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:24 |

1993 is difficult to choose from! But then I remembered that the Dauer 962 LM is a thing.

1965 Shelby Daytona Coupe. It’s just that easy.

I thought the Vector was only a V8?
Are you thinking of the Cizeta V16T?
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:27 |

1982 - hmmm....
Pretty sure that’s a Lambo, bro.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:27 |

love these, undeniably one of the most outlandish cars ever produced. I’ve only seen one in person! and it was glorious, especially the dash:

Hnnnnnnnnggggggg!
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:30 |

I accept any and all ludicrous seventies land yachts. I’d go for a conti mkIV because they’re hideous and the interior looks like a medieval brothel
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:30 |

The 850CSi is fantasy garage material for me, but production that one didn’t start until 1992.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:30 |

Tough choice, but I think I’ll have to go with the Alfa... It was either the Alfa or this hunk of steaming ugly. So much RS!
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:31 |
|
the Camargue caused a lot of dropped monocles due to them having the temerity to tilt the grill forward a few degrees. Absolutely no shame.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:31 |

1982:
This wagon is perfect.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:31 |

so classy. definitely the best era for alfas.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:31 |

Yeah, it sounds a bit crazy:
Two prototypes of the 1984 Countach Turbo S were built by Lamborghini, of which one is known to exist. The Turbo S weighed 1,515 kg (3,340 lb), while its 4.8 liter twin-turbo V12 had a claimed maximum power output of 758 PS (558 kW) and a torque output of 876 N·m (646 lb·ft), giving the car an acceleration of 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph). A turbo adjuster, located beneath the steering wheel, could be used to adjust the boost pressure from 0.7 bar to 1.5 bar at which the engine performed its maximum power output.

![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:33 |

well, sometimes being old has it’s advantages.....
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:34 |
|
sadly, most of the time that’s what the dash looked like while the car was running .
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:34 |

I’m so spoiled when it comes to these... my weekly car show haunt is a museum that has a red 959. gawking at it is part of my sunday morning ritual
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:35 |
|
Nice! I like the way you think.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:35 |

you don’t know “fun” until you’ve had to re-shim the sagging doors on a ‘70s F-Body. Those doors must have been stamped out of mercury-filled lead.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:35 |

Haven’t they caught you doin’... stuff... to it yet?

yes I’ll take all of them....and some people say the 70s/80s were a bad era for cars...
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:36 |

Probably the car I’m actively trying to sell my Montego so I can go buy:
1986 Mercury Capri 5.0. It was the first and only year with Fuel Injection so that’s nice and who doesn’t love a bubble back?!
I’d pick the Black Magic edition in the back.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:36 |
|
yep, I’ll take a two tone two door in light blue and white
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:37 |

Ahh, my birth year was a good year.
Early build flying mirror Testarossa.
![]() 09/09/2016 at 14:37 |

1988: I mean, there were supercars as options, but my tastes are more... Modest. And biased towards slow car fast.
I’ll take a minty CRX Si, thanks, with an epic rustproofing package. In yellow.

Guess who saw all of those at at a show last month. (<——- this guy). The longchamp was my favorite, such a cool and obscure GT
